NEED TO KNOW
- Trump orders D.C.’s homeless to leave “IMMEDIATELY” for federally run camps “FAR” away.
- Criminals stay in the city, but only in jail — “It’s called balance.”
- federal takeover still possible, pending arrival of power washers.
President Trump announced his “Homeless Go Bye-Bye” plan on Sunday. The goal is simple: remove every homeless person from Washington, D.C., and send them somewhere “FAR” away. He didn’t name the location. He did hint it would have “lots of space and no CNN bureaus.”
The plan offers free housing in federal camps. Trump described them as “secure, decorated, and possibly with festive barbed wire.” Criminals will stay in D.C., but only in jail. “We’ve got great housing for them — it’s called prison,” he said.
He also threatened to take control of the city if local leaders “don’t clean up fast.” Streets, he promised, would be clean enough to “eat off of.” Power washers are already staged in Virginia.
Supporters have started circulating “Bye-Bye Bus” schedules. They want the relocation day to feel “like a tailgate, but with more fences.” Critics note crime is already falling and homelessness is down. Trump insists this will be “the most beautiful capital in the world” again.
