- Trump says Epstein story is a hoax and calls former supporters “weaklings”
- He declared only “idiots who don’t read” are welcome in his 2025 coalition
- MAGA influencers unsure if they’re the idiots or the weaklings — or both
President Donald Trump officially disavowed all supporters who still care about the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, branding them “Democrat puppets” and “idiots who read too much.” The move stunned MAGA loyalists, many of whom were caught mid-thread on Telegram decoding Epstein’s island flight logs.
“Scams and hoaxes are all the Democrats have,” Trump wrote. “And now some of my own people are falling for this Epstein nonsense like it’s real. I don’t want their support anymore — go join Liz Cheney or something.”

The post ignited chaos across MAGA channels, with influencers unsure if they should continue demanding answers or simply block out the words “Epstein” and “island” from their vocabulary forever. One prominent account posted a poll: “If Trump calls you an idiot but you love him harder, is that loyalty or mental illness?”

Trump later clarified he still welcomes “the good supporters — the ones who never ask questions, wear the hats, and scream even when nothing is happening.” He promised to rebuild his movement on a platform of “simple, patriotic values, zero curiosity, and maybe a golden showerhead.”
