- President Trump announced he is considering stripping Rosie O’Donnell of U.S. citizenship after she blamed him for Texas flash floods.
- He accused her of “colluding with hurricanes” and offered to trade her to Ireland in exchange for “one pallet of Guinness and a bag of Lucky Charms.”
- Legal scholars quickly pointed out that revoking citizenship by tweet is not yet a constitutional power, but Trump said, “We’ll see what SCOTUS thinks, if they like weather.”
President Trump has ignited yet another diplomatic crisis with a former talk show host, declaring on Truth Social that Rosie O’Donnell is “no longer useful to America” and may be “better suited for international weather warfare and late-night sarcasm.”
“She’s been colluding with hurricanes, probably since Katrina,” Trump wrote. “Rosie O’Donnell is a dangerous person. She creates storms. Real ones. Deadly ones. Probably with a cauldron. Everyone’s talking about it.”
Trump’s comments followed O’Donnell’s viral TikTok post from Dublin, where she implied the president was to blame for the deadly flash floods in Central Texas. “This is what happens when you gut the weather department,” she said, standing next to a sheep.
White House Press Secretary Kid Rock clarified that Trump was offering to trade O’Donnell to Ireland, stating, “It’s a fair deal. One Rosie for one Guinness pallet. Two if they throw in Bono.” Ireland has yet to comment.
Legal experts remain baffled by the idea that citizenship can be revoked by presidential decree or social media post, but Trump insists he has “emergency weather powers” granted to him by “a very powerful friend in Mar-a-Lago who knows a lot about the Constitution.”
As for Rosie O’Donnell, she responded with a four-minute interpretive dance to Enya and a handwritten note that read, “Bring it on, Donny.”
