DEVELOPING: New York – Former US President Donald Trump is set to fly from his Mar-a-Lago resort to his Trump building in New York City on Monday evening, ahead of his scheduled arraignment on Tuesday. According to sources close to the Trump camp, the former president has hired Kyle Rittenhouse to protect him on his travels.

“Kyle Rittenhouse is the best in the business,” said Trump in a statement. “He knows how to keep me safe and secure, and I trust him completely.” Rittenhouse, who has gained notoriety in recent years for his involvement in a high-profile legal case, has been hailed by some as a hero and others as a villain. Nonetheless, Trump’s decision to hire him has raised eyebrows among political commentators.

“Kyle Rittenhouse is a controversial figure, to say the least,” said political analyst Jane Johnson. “It’s unclear why Trump thinks he’s the best person to protect him.”

Despite the criticism, Rittenhouse appears to be taking his job seriously. When reached for comment, he said, “I will do everything in my power to keep Mr. Trump safe. He can count on me.”

Trump’s arraignment on Tuesday is expected to draw large crowds, both in support and opposition of the former president. It remains to be seen whether Rittenhouse will be able to keep Trump safe and secure throughout his travels and court appearance.

As always, stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
