EXCLUSIVE – It has been revealed that Fox News host Tucker Carlson had been secretly expressing his disdain for the QAnon Shaman, also known as Jacob Chansley, despite his network’s seemingly positive coverage of the Capitol rioter.
According to leaked text messages between Carlson and his colleagues, the conservative pundit has been privately fuming about Chansley’s recent request for organic food while in prison awaiting trial.
“I can’t believe this guy,” Carlson wrote in one message. “First he storms the Capitol dressed like a clown, not a Patriot, and now he wants to eat like a hippie. What a joke!”
Despite his private feelings about Chansley, Carlson has been publicly defending the QAnon Shaman on his show, portraying him as a misunderstood patriot who was simply exercising his right to protest.
But behind the scenes, Carlson’s true feelings about Chansley have been causing tension within the network, with some insiders accusing him of hypocrisy.
“He’s basically been two-faced about the whole thing,” said one source. “On air, he’s defending Chansley and painting him as this great American hero, but in private, he’s trashing him like everyone else.”
The leaked text messages have also shed light on the network’s coverage of the Capitol riot, with Carlson allegedly urging his colleagues to downplay the severity of the attack and shift the blame onto left-wing agitators.
“Let’s not give the libs any ammunition here,” Carlson wrote in one text message. “We need to stick together and push back against the narrative that this was some sort of insurrection. It was a mere tour of the capital.”
The revelation of Carlson’s private texts has sparked outrage among many on social media, with some calling for his resignation from Fox News.
“Tucker Carlson is a total fraud,” tweeted one user. “He pretends to be this champion of the people, but behind closed doors, he’s just another elitist talking head spewing hate and liberal lies.”
As for Chansley, his legal team has not commented on the leaked text messages, but his request for organic food has been granted by prison officials at the expense of the tax payers.
