Congresswoman or Chaos Goblin? South Carolina’s Nancy Mace Might Be Both
Rep. Nancy Mace, the House’s answer to both Florida Man and a deleted Bravo pilot, is making headlines again, this time for allegedly trying to swap nude photos for beachfront real estate. According to a new deposition by her former political adviser, Mace discovered racy content on her fiancé’s phone and allegedly used it as leverage to gain 100% ownership of two shared homes.
America, meet your new real estate agent: blackmail, but make it bipartisan.
From TikTok Hearings to Tabloid Plotlines
In a shocking twist even Aaron Sorkin wouldn’t write, Mace recently stood before Congress and dramatically held up a pixelated image of what she claimed was her “naked silhouette” taken in a bathroom by her ex, who she says filmed her without consent. Naturally, this happened during an official hearing about digital privacy, because hypocrisy now comes with a congressional seal.
“It screamed my safety was negotiable and my dignity disposable,” she said, while literally holding the photo in her hand for maximum exposure—both legal and optical.
Meanwhile, her ex-fiancé, apparently the reluctant co-star of this high-stakes Lifetime reboot, has remained mostly silent, other than muttering something about “not even close to the end of the story,” which is both ominous and fair, given we’re probably only halfway through season one.
Sex, Lies, and Source Code
If that weren’t enough, Mace’s former adviser also claimed the congresswoman is a self-taught tech geek who spends her nights coding social media bots. “She sits on the couch all night programming,” he said, as if describing either a Russian hacker or an overcaffeinated Reddit mod.
In one exchange, the adviser recalled telling her not to take a tropical vacation with the same man she was accusing of voyeurism. Her response? “I’m taking my free vacation to the Caribbean.” Because nothing says “I fear for my safety” quite like sunscreen and bottomless mimosas.
Mace, for her part, has responded to the firestorm of allegations by tweeting, “Good morning to everyone except peeping Toms.” A bold move for someone being accused of weaponizing nudes like congressional NFTs.
