In an attempt to address the rising cost of living, President Joe Biden announced a new plan on Monday. “I’ve been thinking about this a lot,” Biden said, “and I’ve come to the conclusion that the best way to solve inflation is to just ask people nicer.”
Biden explained that he believes that if people are simply asked nicely to pay less for goods and services, they will be more likely to do so. “I know it sounds crazy,” he said, “but it just might work.”
The president’s plan has been met with mixed reactions. Some people have praised Biden for his creativity, while others have dismissed the plan as a joke. However, one thing is for sure: Biden is determined to do whatever it takes to solve inflation, even if it means asking people nicer.
In a follow-up press conference, Biden was asked if he had any specific examples of how he would ask people nicer to pay less for goods and services. “Well, for example,” he said, “I might say something like, ‘Hey, could you please not charge me so much for this gallon of milk? I’m on a fixed income, you know.'”
Biden also said that he is open to other suggestions on how to ask people nicer to pay less. “If you have any ideas,” he said, “please let me know.”
Only time will tell if Biden’s plan to solve inflation by asking people nicer will be successful. However, one thing is for sure: it is a plan that is sure to generate a lot of laughs.
