Baseball Stadium Vendors Petition League to Start the Season Later in the Year, When it’s a bit Warmer

Baseball fans across the United States are complaining about their hotdogs and nachos getting cold too quickly during opening day games for the MLB. Dedicated Chicago Cubs fans have also expressed their disappointment with the chilly temperatures of their game-day snacks.

“I can’t enjoy a warm, delicious hotdog during a Cubs game because it’s practically frozen by the third inning,” said lifelong Cubs fan and food enthusiast, Karen Johnson.

Fans in Wrigley Field have taken to social media to voice their concerns, as their nachos and hotdogs are not staying warm enough. “I came here to enjoy some nachos, but they’re already cold,” tweeted Samantha Smith, a devoted Cubs fan from Chicago. “The league needs to do something about it.”

According to league officials, the early start to the baseball season is the culprit. With games beginning in late March and early April, temperatures across the country are still cool enough to cause food to cool down quickly.

“We encourage Cubs fans to enjoy their food quickly before it gets too cold,” said MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred in a statement. “However, we understand our fans’ concerns.”

Manfred went on to say that the league is considering alternative solutions, such as serving warmer food or providing heaters in the stands. However, these changes would likely not be implemented until next season.

Cubs fans are demanding action, as they paid good money for hot food items and expect them to stay warm during the game.

“The league needs to take responsibility for this and figure out a solution,” said James Davis, a diehard Cubs fan from Chicago.

Stadium vendors have attempted to address the problem by serving hotdogs and nachos at warmer temperatures. However, longer lines and wait times have resulted in further frustration for fans.

“It’s not fair to make Cubs fans choose between enjoying the game and getting a hot meal,” said Maria Rodriguez, a devoted Cubs fan from Chicago.

As the debate continues, Cubs fans hope that the league will find a solution to ensure that their hotdogs and nachos remain warm and enjoyable during opening day at Wrigley Field.
