RICHMOND, VA – Susanna Gibson, Virginia’s Democratic candidate for the House of Delegates, found herself defending videos she posted online where she and her husband partake in intimate activities for “tips” to support “good causes”. Her campaign’s new slogan? “Streaming for your dreams.”
Leading Democratic lawmaker, State Sen. L. Louise Lucas, not only defended Gibson but also managed to turn the controversial videos into a fundraising strategy. “Susanna’s commitment to transparency has never been clearer,” Lucas jestingly commented.
Lucas further attacked the Virginia Republican governor, suggesting he was behind the video leak. “Honestly,” Lucas mused, “if he had this much time to spend on Chaturbate, maybe he’s in the wrong job.”
Support for Gibson has been unwavering, especially from those who apparently were impressed by her multitasking skills. “If she can manage that on a livestream, imagine what she can handle in office,” said Amanda Linton, who donated $25 to Gibson’s campaign and plans to contribute more.
Emily’s List, a stalwart supporter of Democratic female candidates, weighed in, with a spokesperson stating, “Many politicians have skeletons in their closets. Gibson just livestreamed hers.” The group further praised Gibson for turning lemons into lemonade or rather, turning live streams into campaign streams.
The suburban Richmond-based candidate defended her actions and flipped the script, “Some people kiss babies, I just took a more… modern approach,” she chuckled.
David Owen, the GOP opponent, has yet to comment, but insiders say he’s busy scouring his own online history just in case.
Regardless of the outcome in the election, one thing is certain: Virginia’s House of Delegates race just became the hottest ticket in town, and not in the way anyone ever expected.
