Tallahassee, Florida – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has revealed that he has unresolved anger from his childhood after a staffer overheard him telling his wife that he was upset with Minnie Mouse for ignoring him during a family vacation to Disney World.
According to the anonymous staffer, DeSantis said, “I still can’t believe Minnie Mouse ignored me like that. I was just a kid, but even then I knew I had something special. But she wouldn’t even look at me.”
The staffer claims that DeSantis became increasingly agitated as he recounted the incident. “He was really worked up about it,” said the staffer. “He kept saying how unfair it was and that he deserved better. He even said something about ‘the elites’ controlling the theme park.”
DeSantis’s remarks have raised eyebrows among political commentators, with many questioning his judgment and temperament. “If the governor is still holding a grudge against a cartoon character from his childhood, how can we trust him to make sound decisions as an adult?” said one pundit. Many have said it’s actually why he was married at Disney World, to show Minnie Mouse what a mistake she made.
Disney has declined to comment on the matter, stating that they do not engage in political discourse. However, sources within the company have suggested that DeSantis may have been too aggressive in his approach to Minnie Mouse, which could have made her uncomfortable and led to her ignoring him.
The governor’s office has denied the allegations, calling them “ridiculous” and “unfounded”. However, they have not denied that DeSantis has unresolved anger from his childhood, and have instead accused the media of trying to create a distraction from more important issues facing the state.
DeSantis is seeking to void an agreement that Walt Disney Co passed to limit the power of a board appointed by DeSantis to oversee its Florida theme park property. DeSantis said that the legislature would void changes Disney made shortly before it lost control of the board. Disney had pushed through changes to the special tax district agreement that limit the board’s action for decades.
DeSantis has threatened to look at taxes on hotels, tolls on the roads and developing some of the property that the district owns. Disney opposed Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Act which restricts classroom discussion of sexual orientation and gender identity, which is what DeSantis is stating as the reason for such action against Disney, but many now believe it’s because he got rejected by Minnie Mouse.
[…] however, are not so sure. “This is a clear example of Disney taking advantage of the Governor’s naivety,” said one criminal justice advocate. “They’ve turned a serious issue into a cheap […]
