Goop to Sell Snowflakes from Deer Valley Resort for $1 Each After Gwyneth Paltrow’s Legal Win

Gwyneth Paltrow’s company Goop has announced that it will be selling snowflakes to customers from the Deer Valley Resort in Park City. This comes on the heels of Paltrow’s recent legal win, in which a Utah court dismissed a lawsuit against her for a skiing accident that occurred at the resort in 2016.

According to Goop’s website, the snowflakes will be sold for a price of only $1 each, plus a nominal $699 shipping and handling fee to ensure that they arrive at their destination unmelted. The website also claims that the snowflakes are “ethically sourced” and “hand-picked” by experienced snowflake hunters.

When asked about the reasoning behind this new product, a Goop spokesperson said, “We believe that our customers are looking for unique, one-of-a-kind items that can’t be found anywhere else. And what’s more unique than a snowflake that has fallen from the sky at a luxury ski resort?”

However, not everyone is thrilled with this new addition to Goop’s already controversial product lineup. Critics have accused the company of exploiting nature for profit and contributing to the commodification of everything, including something as ephemeral as a snowflake.

“This is just ridiculous,” said environmental activist John Smith. “Goop is turning something that is supposed to be beautiful and natural into just another product to be sold. It’s emblematic of the larger problem we face as a society, where everything is up for sale and nothing is sacred anymore.”

Others have raised concerns about the practicality of selling snowflakes. “How are they going to ensure that the snowflakes don’t melt during shipping?” asked one commenter on Goop’s website. “And even if they do arrive intact, what are people supposed to do with them? Hang them on their Christmas trees?”

Despite these criticisms, Goop seems determined to move forward with their snowflake sales. In fact, the company has already started promoting the product on social media, with Paltrow herself tweeting, “Get your own piece of winter magic! Goop snowflakes now available!”

It remains to be seen whether the snowflakes will be a hit with Goop’s customers or if they will be seen as just another example of the company’s out-of-touch and often ridiculous product offerings. However, one thing is for certain: the controversy surrounding Goop shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
